Days of Petanque: Max Headgear

Date: January 28, 2020 at 8:38:08 PM PST

There is a little known unit of measurement that is sometimes used at the Sonoma petanque courts. The Millermeter. Accourding to the millipedia it was invented or discovered by Ted Ricketts and Bill Miller one brisk afternoon in January. It is a somewhat flexible measurement that expands or contracts ever so slightly when deployed to convey a favorable outcome to whichever team Bill happens to be on.

More commonly used is the foldable Stickycheater Meter with its extendable Le But Bumper most recently featured by Wolfie "The Younger" Kurtz as warned by Dave "Diaper Dad" Lanter and adjudicated by Peter "The Master" Mathis.

And lastly the Time/Space Magneto Mover and Lightsaber combination favored by Ed "The Punisher" Parto. Illegal within Sonoma city limits. Use ok in Depot Park as that is Petanque Nation Reservation.

In a slightly different category is the Probability Prognosticator and Rangefinder that can quite accurately determine the point boule from the circle no matter how far away.

While the FPUSA has been slow to adopt these more technologically advanced measuring instruments NorCal is as always at the forefront of trends, early adopters and alternate reality visionaries. You know who you are and so do we.

Lord Vader. you know using your powers is illegal in petanque, don't you?

Bill! You are not allowed to use the Force in Petanque!
