Just looking for a way to cool off.

I remember living in a small town halfway between Blythe, CA and Wickenburg, AZ, in the early sixties, listening to Walk Don't Run by the Ventures and Wipe Out by the Surfaries on a portable record player with detachable speakers—for STEREO! Neat. Cool.

The ocean was about 300 miles away, but a kid's gotta dream.
